Mavrud is de typische druivenvariët van Bulgarije.
Vinification: This wine is made of a single vineyard in Belashtitsa region. Having in mind the qualities of Rubin from this area it can be concluded that the region is very suitable for Bulgarian red varieties. The grapes were picked on October 7th and was precisely selected at the vineyard. At the winery it was sorted on a double sorting table – after removing the clusters, the bad and unripe grapes, it was vinificated. It matured for ten months in French oak barriques, second filling, in which malolactic fermentation took place. Batonage was made. Unfiltered.
Tasting notes: The color is beautiful, dark red. The aromatic profile is rich and attractive, with ripe fruit, smoke, chocolate and vanilla. The body is remarkably flexible and tight, and the taste is full and velvety.
